What Happens If the Reporting System Is Misused

We want our reporting tools to protect players, so we take action when they are misused.

If a player frequently posts clearly illegal content, we may take appropriate action, which may include sending a warning and/or suspending their access to the game.

If someone frequently submits reports concerning alleged Illegal Content or appeals that are clearly unfounded, we will first send a warning and may then suspend the processing of such reports or appeals for a reasonable period of time.

When making such decisions, we consider how often it happened, how serious it was, and, where we can tell, whether it was intentional. These measures don't replace the other measures described in our EULA.

Examples of Reporting System Misuse:

False Reporting
Submitting a Report that the reporting party knows to be false or misleading, including Reports made in bad faith or for retaliatory purposes.

Report Bombing
Submitting multiple Reports on the same user within a short period, whether individually or in coordination with others, in order to trigger automated enforcement.

Harassment via Reports
Using the reporting system to target or harass another user, rather than to report a genuine violation.

Reports Without Merit
Submitting Reports concerning content or behaviour that does not violate the EULA.

Coordinated False Reporting
Multiple users acting together to submit unfounded Reports against a selected user in order to provoke sanctions.
